Send these geeks to Comic-Con! Follow the instructions up there to get my fiance and I to San Diego CC this year. Anyone wanna get this going viral all over the tumblrverse so much that people like Wil Wheaton go “Hey, they look like alright people. And they’re getting married this year, you say? Well, they oughta go to Comic-Con!” and reblog it? Because that would be amazing.
Is this the first time the tag “Help us Wil!” has been used? I think so. It should become a thing.
Here’s the deal: by all odds Ben and I getting together was a massive long shot. But, unbelievably, it paid off, and we’re that ridiculously loved-up couple that people either “aww” over or puke over. We play board or card games nearly every night, and watch Buffy or Stargate SG1 literally every night. We played Dragon Age last weekend end I was Moulin, the Rogue (get it?) and he was the GM. We’re regulars at our local game store (Games Paradise in Sydney’s CBD, they’re awesome, get on it) and, less so, at Kings Comics across the street. We originally wanted a Stargate cake for our wedding but it was infeasible… But we ARE having a reading from the His Dark Materials trilogy during the ceremony! Ben plays lots of video games too, though whenever he tries to get me to play things like Lego Star Wars I just fly around in the ship thing singing “You can’t take the skyyyy from meeee!” until he gets annoyed and disconnects my controller.
What I’m trying to get at is that nerd/geek/sci-fi things are our lives. We’re getting married in December. We likely wont have the money to go overseas to Comic-Con for many many years. Winning this would change our lives. So basically… please help us make our dreams come true! (Gosh that’s daggy but its the truth.)
Had a lovely morning photographing the cutest couple I know, Lachlan and Tam, as Lachie’s gift for Tam’s birthday. Went down to the Technology Park in Redfern for the shoot.
Hey all, welcome to my new and improved website. I’m Erin Grace, a 21 year old photographer based in Sydney, NSW. You can find out a wee bit more about me here.
My major work at present is a documentary series on tattoo culture in Sydney named Branded. It is an ongoing project that will be continued for years to come, with a view to publish a book. You can check out a small portion of the images so far here.
I also photograph people more formally as well as landscapes. Actually, I photograph pretty much everything.
If you would like to work with me, you can check out my packages and find one that suits your needs, or just shoot me an email at erin@eringracephotography.com.au
Stay tuned for more developments, many of which will be coming within the week!
Cheers!
Erin
